Shamanic Breathwork

Let go, find your power, find yourself!

Shamanic Breathwork supports you to become aware of your power and passion, and to rediscover lost & buried aspects of your authentic self.

This journey is an opportunity to deepen your love with yourself and others. You can transform stressful issues from the past and bring about lasting change in your life.

Shamanic breathwork is an experiential journey that involves clearing, reclaiming, healing and letting go of whatever is no longer working in your life. It is a modality that awakens access to your authentic self and your inner wisdom beyond the ego.

Shamanic Breathwork honors and merges the timeless wisdom of ancient traditions with the emerging new paradigms of healing. It acts as a bridge between these two worlds, honoring the best of both worlds and creating a bridge for body, mind, heart, soul and spirit. The technique has evolved from Holotropic Breathwork (according to Stanislav Grof) and is a technique of cyclical breathing combined with music to support the process.

There are numerous definitions for the term shamanism. A simple one is that shamanism is a system of practices and rituals developed to support healing processes and problem solving in communities. These systems have developed globally, in all cultures, independently of each other. Common elements of these different traditions are the use of breathing, music & drumming and shamanic guides (such as animals or contact with ancestors).

Modern shamanic techniques support you in finding and activating your inner shamanic power. You take yourself on a journey and find within yourself what you need for your healing process. You already have everything within you, but we all need spaces that support us in our healing processes and allow us to access our deeper self.

You do not need any previous experience with breathing techniques for this journey. I do not recommend taking this journey if you are still carrying strong, unresolved traumas in your body and have no professional therapeutic connection. The journey can be exhausting, but also very rewarding.

Each person's shamanic breathwork session is a highly individualized process, and no two sessions are the same. Some of the states of consciousness reported range from divine states of bliss to the struggle to release negative forces in the psyche. Revival is a common phenomenon, as is life review, where one relives or observes one's life experiences. Old patterns of dysfunction may be brought to the surface. Addictions are sometimes transformed during this process as feelings of sadness, fear, anger and anxiety are released.

Possible health benefits of Breathwork are:

  • Re-oxygenating your body

  • Massages your organs through the increased movement of the diaphragm

  • Stimulates blood circulation in all parts of the body

  • Improves digestion

  • Detoxifies your body

  • Strengthens your immune system

  • Activates your parasympathetic nervous system

  • Can help you cope with pain

  • Reduces anxiety and stress

  • Supports positive mental health

  • Can help with depression

  • Releases past traumas

  • Balances your nervous system

  • Supports your relaxation and restful sleep

  • Improves clarity and focus

  • Frees you from your past

  • Helps you feel more connected to yourself and others

  • Connects you to your higher self, wise elder and inner healer

I create a strong, holding and healing field for your process. Your breathing journey will last between 90-120 minutes. Before that, you will have time to set your intention, arrive in the space, ask open questions and get to know the methodology.
